A national waste and recycling company is hiring a registered 310T Apprentice Mechanic for its Ajax shop, maintaining a fleet of diesel collection trucks. Schedule: - Permanent, full-time - 9 hours a day guaranteed What you'll do: - Repairs, inspections and safety checks on diesel trucks - Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems - Use vehicle computer systems to read fault codes and adjust engine and vehicle control modules - Respond to road calls for emergency repairs - Complete repairs from driver inspection reports and test drive trucks after service - Record work in the fleet maintenance software - Follow MTO, environmental and company safety standards What you bring: - Registered 310T apprentice - Comfortable with diesel diagnostic tools, preventive maintenance and repair - Your own basic tool set - Able to pass pre-employment requirements What's offered: - $40.53 per hour, 9 hours a day guaranteed - Retirement plan with company match - Medical, dental and vision, life and disability insurance - Employee assistance program and an employee stock purchase plan
