A national environmental services company is hiring a licensed 310T Mechanic for its Windsor-area shop in Maidstone, Ontario. You'll maintain and repair a diesel collection fleet, keeping the vehicles safe and reliable for the drivers and the communities they serve. Schedule: - Monday to Friday, starting at 2:00pm or 3:00pm - 9 hours per day guaranteed - Occasional Saturdays depending on business needs What you'll do: - Perform repairs, inspections, safety checks, and diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on diesel vehicles - Use vehicle computer electrical systems to interpret failure modes and adjust engine and vehicle control modules - Respond to road calls for emergency repairs - Review, complete or assign repairs identified on driver vehicle inspection reports - Complete required paperwork in fleet maintenance software - Test drive trucks after service and repair - Support other team members and interact professionally with drivers - Adhere to all Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Environment safety standards What you bring: - Licensed 310T mechanic - Proficiency with a variety of diesel diagnostic tools, preventative maintenance and repair - Hydraulic experience - Basic tool set What's offered: - $47.59/hr - Benefits - medical, dental, vision, STD and LTD - RRSP matching and stock purchase options at a preferred rate - Paid vacation and an EAP program - Annual tool and boot allowances - Manufacturer and fleet systems training
