A national environmental services company is hiring a licensed 310T Mechanic for its Brantford, Ontario shop. This is a predominantly in-shop role maintaining and repairing a diesel collection fleet, with occasional field work if there's a breakdown. Non-unionized shop. Schedule: - Monday to Friday, 3:00pm - 12:00am - Straight afternoons - shift premium is built into the hourly rate What you'll do: - Perform repairs, inspections, safety checks, and diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on diesel vehicles - Use vehicle computer electrical systems to interpret failure modes and adjust engine and vehicle control modules - Respond to road calls for emergency repairs - Review, complete or assign repairs identified on driver vehicle inspection reports - Complete required paperwork in fleet maintenance software - Test drive trucks after service and repair - Support other team members and interact professionally with drivers What you bring: - Licensed 310T or 421A mechanic with some truck experience - Proficiency with diesel diagnostic tools, preventative maintenance and repair - Basic tool set - Intermediate to advanced communication skills - AZ or DZ licence is an asset, not a requirement What's offered: - $46.80/hr with the shift premium built in - Benefits - medical, dental, vision, STD and LTD - RRSP matching at 5%, increasing to 6% in 2026 - Stock purchase options at a preferred rate - Paid vacation and an EAP program - Annual tool allowance ($1,200) and annual boot allowance - Manufacturer training at a Toronto dealership, defensive driving, and fleet systems training
