A national environmental services company is hiring a 310T Technician for its Peterborough, Ontario shop. Registered apprentices at any level will be considered alongside fully licensed technicians. This is an in-shop role - field work is rare, as trucks are typically towed back to the shop. Schedule: - Monday to Friday, 1:00pm - 11:00pm - Straight afternoons What you'll do: - Perform repairs, inspections, safety checks, and diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on diesel vehicles - Use vehicle computer electrical systems to interpret failure modes and adjust engine and vehicle control modules - Review, complete or assign repairs identified on driver vehicle inspection reports - Complete required paperwork in fleet maintenance software - Test drive trucks after service and repair - Support other team members and interact professionally with drivers What you bring: - Licensed 310T mechanic, or a registered apprentice at any level - 1-2 years of fleet maintenance experience at minimum - Your own basic tool set - Intermediate to advanced communication skills - AZ or DZ licence is an asset, not a requirement What's offered: - $40/hr for licensed mechanics; apprentice rates based on year of apprenticeship - $3,000 signing bonus for fully licensed 310T mechanics - Benefits - medical, dental, vision, STD and LTD - RRSP matching at 5% (potentially increasing to 6% in 2026) - Stock purchase options at a preferred rate - Paid vacation and an EAP program - Annual tool allowance ($1,500 at this location) and annual boot allowance - Manufacturer training, defensive driving, and fleet systems training
