A family-owned road maintenance and municipal sweeping company is hiring a licensed 310T Truck and Coach Technician for its Midhurst yard, just outside Barrie. It's a mobile role: road calls and yard inspections from a company service truck, plus shop work, keeping sweepers, water trucks, dump trucks and plows on the road. Schedule: - Day shift (6am-3pm or 7am-4pm, some flexibility) - Rotating Saturdays - Mobile: company service truck, road calls and yard inspections, plus shop work What you'll do: - Preventative maintenance, annual safeties and inspections on a vocational fleet: street sweepers, water trucks, dump trucks, live-bottom trailers and snow plows - Diagnose and repair hydraulic, air brake, electrical and diesel systems - Welding and fabrication on plow builds and conversions for a new municipal contract - Work closely with the operators who run the equipment What you bring: - 310T Truck and Coach licence (final-year 310T apprentices considered) - 2+ years on diesel trucks; vocational, municipal, waste or plow fleet experience is a plus - Hydraulics experience; welding (TIG a plus) is a strong asset - Valid G licence with a clean abstract, and your own tools - Available for rotating Saturdays What's offered: - Up to $45/hr based on licence and experience - Benefits after 3 months (medical and dental) - Tool allowance, case by case - A busy, year-round fleet with steady winter overtime
