Certus Technical Search is hiring a Dock & Door Technician to support a high-demand service operation, ensuring critical dock equipment remains safe, reliable, and fully operational. This role is with a national leader in industrial equipment sales and service. This is a field-based role for a mechanically inclined technician who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and working directly with customers. You’ll be responsible for servicing and maintaining dock equipment at client sites, ensuring safe and reliable operation in fast-paced industrial environments. What will your day look like? Respond to service calls and travel to customer sites across the region Diagnose and repair dock equipment including overhead doors, dock levelers, seals, bumpers, and restraints Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues Complete work orders and document service performed, parts used, and follow-up actions Communicate clearly with customers regarding issues, solutions, and repair timelines Ensure all work is completed in line with safety standards and service expectations Build strong customer relationships through professional and reliable service What do you need to qualify for this opportunity? 2+ year of experience in a mechanical or technician role (industrial, automotive, equipment, small engine or related) Strong mechanical aptitude with basic electrical knowledge Welding experience is a strong asset Comfortable using hand tools, diagnostic tools, and measuring devices Ability to read and follow technical procedures Strong communication and customer service skills Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client sites What can we offer you?
