A large beverage-packaging manufacturer in Ajax — one of the largest employers in Durham Region, supplying packaging to major beverage brands — is hiring a licensed 433A Industrial Millwright for its maintenance department. You'll install, maintain, and repair all equipment in the plant. Schedule: - 12-hour rotating shifts (days 7am-7pm, nights 7pm-7am) - Shifts rotate every two weeks and include weekends What you'll do: - Install and move plant machinery, working from blueprints - Perform preventative maintenance and keep equipment running reliably - Operate lathe, welder, milling machine, drill presses, and cutting tools to repair or fabricate parts - Troubleshoot machine faults and complete work orders What you bring: - Licensed 433A Industrial Millwright in good standing (Canadian apprenticeship) - Post-secondary Millwright/Mechanical education or equivalent - 3+ years in a manufacturing environment - Machining/CNC experience an asset - Able to stand and walk a full shift and lift up to 40 lbs What's offered: - $43-$48/hr with annual review increases - Continental shift premiums and an annual productivity bonus - Health and dental benefits - Pension with employer and employee contributions up to 14% from first day - Stable, name-brand employer with development opportunities
