A national environmental services company is hiring a registered 310T Mechanic for its Hamilton, Ontario shop, maintaining and repairing a diesel collection fleet. Schedule: - Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday - 2:30pm - 12:30am, full-time What you'll do: - Perform repairs, inspections, safety checks, and diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on diesel vehicles - Use vehicle computer electrical systems to interpret failure modes and adjust engine and vehicle control modules - Respond to road calls for emergency repairs - Review, complete or assign repairs identified on driver vehicle inspection reports - Complete required paperwork in fleet maintenance software - Test drive trucks after service and repair - Support other team members and interact professionally with drivers - Work to Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Environment and company safety standards What you bring: - Registered 310T Mechanic licence - this role is not open to apprentices - Proficiency with a variety of diesel diagnostic tools, preventative maintenance and repair - Basic tool set - Hydraulic experience is a plus - Able to meet all pre-employment requirements What's offered: - $47.49/hr for a fully licensed 310T technician - $300 monthly bonus - Signing bonus available - Overtime after 10 hours per day - Generous tool and uniform allowance - Retirement plan with company match - Medical, dental and vision benefits - Life insurance, short-term and long-term disability - Employee assistance program, scholarship opportunities and an employee stock purchase plan
