A material-handling equipment provider is hiring a Road Service Technician for the Vancouver area. You'll service and repair lift trucks and carousels at customer sites, working from a company truck. Setup: - Field-based role across the Vancouver area - Company truck, insurance and gas card provided - Company iPad and iPhone - Overtime paid after 44 hours worked per week What you'll do: - Inspect the operational integrity and condition of lift trucks - Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and recommend repairs to the customer - Perform scheduled preventative maintenance - Diagnose and order parts using technical manuals - Document and analyze breakdowns to standard procedures - Act as the front-line contact with the customer on site Requirements: - 3 to 5 years as a mechanical technician, or equivalent experience - Automotive Service Technician or Heavy Equipment Technician (Red Seal) certification is an asset - Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems on battery and engine-powered material handling equipment - Comfortable with hand tools, measuring devices, and electrical/electronic diagnostic tools - Solid lockout/tagout knowledge - Strong communication and customer-service skills - Valid driver's license Compensation and benefits: - $76,000 to $85,000 per year plus overtime - Benefits after 3 months, pension after 24 months - Company truck, insurance, gas card, plus iPad and iPhone - Incentive program and career development
