A national material-handling and lift-truck provider is hiring a Road Service Technician covering the Dartmouth, Nova Scotia territory. You'll conduct maintenance checks and repairs on lift trucks and carousels at customer sites, making both planned and emergency service calls within your territory. Schedule: - Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm - Overtime paid after 44 hours per week - Field-based across the defined territory What you'll do: - Examine the overall operational integrity and condition of customer equipment - Diagnose and adjust or repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical parts, then communicate the repair solution to the customer - Perform scheduled maintenance and planned service calls - Respond to emergency breakdown calls within the territory - Receive work orders and communicate with internal teams via a company iPad and iPhone What you bring: - 3+ years of mechanical experience - automotive is an ideal background, but truck, trailer, heavy equipment and industrial mechanics are all welcome - Strong communication skills and a customer-facing manner - Clean driver's abstract - Somewhere to park a company van overnight (requires 9 ft of clearance in parking garages) What's offered: - $70,000 - $80,000 plus overtime after 44 hours - Company work van, gas card and insurance covered - Benefits after 3 months; pension matching after 24 months - Annual tool and boot allowance - Tuition reimbursement program - Clear route to grow within a national service organization
