A national material-handling and lift-truck provider is hiring a Service Manager for its Edmonton branch. You'll lead a team of 25 road service technicians and 3 dock door technicians serving the greater Edmonton area, reporting to the Regional Service Manager for Western Canada. Expect to spend several days a week in the branch and the remainder in the field alongside technicians and meeting customers. What you'll do: - Drive KPI attainment and hold the team accountable to it - Manage customer concerns and service escalations - Oversee day-to-day branch operations - Analyze employee engagement survey results and implement action plans - Work closely with Team Captains and the Service Coordination team to keep operations aligned - Review operational requests, assess priorities and determine the best course of action - Manage monthly budgets and operational goals - Prepare presentations and reporting for senior leadership What you bring: - Post-secondary education - 2-3+ years of leadership experience managing larger field or service teams - A trades or service-industry background is ideal, but strong leaders from other service-based industries are welcome - Business-minded, with strong communication and presentation skills - Strong Excel skills - comfortable downloading, analyzing and distributing KPI reports - Process-driven, able to absorb information quickly, understand issues from a technician's perspective and build practical solutions - Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with competing priorities What's offered: - $91,000 - $125,000 plus annual bonus of up to $10,000 based on company profit and performance - Company vehicle and gas card - 3 weeks vacation - Benefits, and pension matching after 24 months
