A transportation company is hiring a licensed Truck & Trailer Technician for its Calgary-area shop. This is a permanent night-shift role focused on preventative maintenance, keeping the fleet safe and on the road. The shop handles PM and inspections; major repairs go to the dealership. Schedule: - 4 x 10-hour shifts, Monday to Thursday, 4:00pm to 2:30am - 24/5 shop operation What you'll do: - Preventative maintenance and repairs on trucks and trailers - Diagnose issues found during inspections and carry out the correct repair - Perform safety inspections (Safeties) - Complete paperless work orders - Support and mentor apprentices Requirements: - Licensed Tractor or Trailer Technician (Journeyman or Red Seal preferred) - Qualified to perform Safeties - Strong diagnostics and time management - Basic computer skills for work order entry - Class 5 driver's license - Full work authorization (PR or citizen) - Comfortable working unsupervised Compensation and benefits: - $35.00 to $38.00/hr plus $2.00/hr shift premium (flexible for strong candidates) - Open to 3rd and 4th year apprentices - RRSP matching - Annual tool ($350) and boot ($150) allowances - Flexible health and dental, group life and disability, AD&D - Paid personal leave and potential overtime - Employee and Family Assistance Program, plus career development Mostly Freightliner, Mack, Volvo and Peterbilt equipment in a clean, well-run shop.
